Information & Hire Charges
We have several rooms available for hire at Penarth Methodist Church.
Our premises and procedures comply with current legislation for Health & Safety, Fire Prevention and Secure workplace. We also endeavour to adhere to best environmental practices.
All rooms have access to free WiFi.
We have a team of volunteer staff who check regularly for any maintenance issues, and we employ an external cleaning company who clean the premises thoroughly on a daily basis.
Whilst on the premises, the hirer is responsible for the Health & Safety and Fire Prevention procedures of their group.
Hours: The rooms are available for hire from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM Monday - Saturday. (Noon- 5:00 PM on Sundays)
HISTORY
The rooms were built in 1900 at about the time "Trinity" Methodist Church was built. They served as school rooms for several generations. In 1997 they were severely damaged by fire and the subsequent rebuild enabled them to be refurbished to contemporary standards.

HALL
Dimensions: 9.3m x 18m (30ft x 60ft)
This includes a main wood-floored area (9.3m x 15m) and a carpeted area under the large window (6m x 3m). A further 1.7m x 6m carpeted area forms additional seating around the side of the Hall.
The Hall has a small kitchen attached, with cooking facilities and there are 3 toilet facilities adjacent to the Hall. It is accessible via stairs from the main foyer, or by using the accessible lift.
The Hall can seat 150 comfortably for a meeting and is ideal for dance classes and other activities that need plenty of space. .In dining layout it can accommodate 100. For children's parties there is plenty of space for a bouncy castle, and if required small chairs and tables can be provided.

ROOM 1
Dimensions: 9m x 9m (30ft x 30ft)
Room 1 has a large kitchen attached, with cooking facilities, and a serving hatch. There are also 2 washrooms adjacent to the Hall.
The Hall is accessible via corridor from the main foyer. Room 1 is fully accessible for wheelchair users, as it has a wider entrance. and a fully accessible toilet is located in the corridor directly outside the room.
Room 1 can seat 50 people comfortably in theatre-style for a meeting, or be used for smaller dance and exercise classes.

ROOM 2
Dimensions: 6.4m x 8m (20ft x 27ft)
Room 2 has tiled flooring, and has a small serving hatch from the kitchen in Room 1, and an electric piano.
Room 2 is accessible via corridor from the main foyer, and there are also 2 washrooms and a small kitchen opposite Room 2 in the corridor. The room is fully accessible for wheelchair users, as it has a wider entrance. with double doors, and a fully accessible toilet is located in the corridor outside.
Room 2 can seat 25 people comfortably theatre-style, or be used for smaller dance and exercise classes, such yoga.

ROOM 3
Dimensions: 6.4m x 8m (20ft x 27ft)
Room 3 has tiled flooring, and an electric piano.
Room 3 is accessible via corridor from the main foyer, and there are also 2 washrooms and a small kitchen opposite Room 2 in the corridor.
Room 3 can seat 25 people comfortably theatre-style, or be used for smaller dance and exercise classes, such yoga.

ROOM 8
Dimensions: 3m x 3.6m (10ft x 12ft)
Room 8 has a carpeted floor and comfortable seating.
Room 8 is accessible directly off the main foyer, and there are also 2 washrooms and a small kitchen located in the corridor nearby.
Room 8 can seat 6-8 people comfortably, and is ideal for smaller meetings.

CHAPEL
Dimensions: 3.6m x 3.6m (12ft x 12ft)
The chapel has a carpeted floor and moveable benches placed along the walls.
The chapel is accessible directly off the main foyer, and there are also 2 washrooms and a small kitchen located in the corridor nearby.
The chapel can seat 10 people comfortably theatre-style, and is ideal for smaller meetings.

CHURCH
The Church can be hired for Concerts or meetings.
